Irina Vasserman, DPM
Irina Vasserman, DPM, is a skilled foot specialist and board-certified podiatric surgeon at Tri-Town Podiatry in Canton, Chelsea, and Arlington, Massachusetts. Since 1994, Dr. Vasserman has been in private practice delivering expertise in wound care and comprehensive podiatric treatment for common foot ailments and sports injuries.
Dr. Vasserman earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. She then completed her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduation, she finished her residency training in podiatric surgery through the New York College of Podiatric Medicine affiliated hospitals. Dr. Vasserman is board certified by the American Board of Wound Care, the Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing, and certified in podiatric medicine and surgery by the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgeons.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Vasserman is the Director, Secretary, and Continuing Medical Education Chair for the American College of Lower Extremity Surgeons and the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery. She is affiliated with several health facilities in the area, including Faulkner Hospital, Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Norwood Hospital, Lawrence Memorial Hospital, St. Elizabeth Hospital, and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Tara Blitz, DPM
Tara Blitz, DPM, specializes in podiatry and orthopaedics at Tri-Town Podiatry. She is passionate about providing patient-centered podiatric care to the communities of Arlington, Canton, and Chelsea, Massachusetts.
Dr. Blitz is originally from Brooklyn, New York. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Albany, located in Albany, New York. In 2005, she earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (formally known as Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine) in Cleveland, Ohio.
After obtaining her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree, Dr. Blitz completed a three-year surgical residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where she received comprehensive training in all aspects of podiatry. Since completing her residency, Dr. Blitz has had the opportunity to be a part of several unique practices, including an orthopedic group, a group that emphasized minimally invasive techniques, and a multi-specialty practice.
Prior to moving back to Massachusetts and joining the team at Tri-Town Podiatry, Dr. Blitz spent four years in academia serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Surgery for the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. This role facilitated an environment for both the teaching of students and residents and direct patient care from the clinical and hospital standpoint.
Dr. Blitz is an energetic doctor who cares deeply about her patients. Her main focus has been on diabetic patients and the prevention of infection and wounds. She is currently board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Blitz lives in Sharon, Massachusetts, with her husband and two young daughters. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her kids, and traveling.
Ashley D. Daniel, DPM
Dr. Ashley D. Daniel is a Boston native, and was born and raised in Waltham, Massachusetts. She attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for her undergraduate career.
Next, she went to Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine where she obtained a Masters in Biomedical Science and then went on and obtained her podiatric degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. While at Barry, Dr. Daniel received the Fall 2017 Dr. Barton Baggett Award for demonstrating academic success and leadership in community service.
After graduating in 2019, Dr. Daniel completed a robust 3-year podiatric medicine and surgical residency at Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts and served as Chief Resident. During her three years at BMC, Dr. Daniel performed over 1,500 procedures and is well trained in all aspects of podiatric surgery.
Dr. Daniel is a well-versed podiatrist who treats all conditions of the foot and ankle, both surgically and conventionally. She treats all injuries, deformities, and diseases of the foot and ankle, including but not limited to: elective surgery such as bunion and hammertoe repairs; wound care; trauma; pediatrics; sports medicine; arthroscopy; diabetic limb salvage; and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Daniel also has career interests in biomechanics and clinical research.
Dr. Daniel enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy is spending time with her 2-year-old daughter and her partner. Dr. Daniel is a dedicated doctor who has committed her work to providing her patients with the highest level of care and compassion. Her bigger goal is to provide the best operative and non-operative treatment to her patients, which in turn gets them back to their daily lives and routines.
